The machine tool UBF 112 N is a CNC double-saddle special-purpose lathe, designed for reprofilling of wheels, which are applied in rail vehicles. The lathe also ensures efficient machining of new wheel sets or wheel sets with new tyres.
The wheel sets can have axle-boxes - mounted on their external journals, gears - installed between the wheels as well as brake discs.
Thanks to application of a modern CNC system and equipment for automatic measurement of the machined wheel sets, machining is economical, efficient and accurate. Universal equipment and wide range of programming possibilities guarantee easy switching to atypical profiles of wheel sets without necessity of introducing changes in the equipment of the machine.
The machine tool can be operated by one operator only. Successive stages of the technological process are related to adequate text-graphics images, which are displayed on the screen of the control desk. The control system is also equipped with a diagnostics of the lathe’s operating condition. It informs about occurring disturbances in functioning of the machine tool and procedures of their elimination.
