The CNC Single Column Vertical Turning & Boring Mill type KCM 150 N is designed for comprehensive machining of railway wheels.
The machine tool can perform the following turning operations according to technological program:
- turning of hub faces,
- preliminary boring of holes in hubs of railway wheels, with 1 mm margin per side,
- finish boring of holes in hubs of railway wheels,
- shape machining of edges.
When special equipment is applied, it is possible to extend its application to the following technological operations:
- machining of solid railway wheels,
- machining of wheel centres,
- boring of inner diameters of tyres of railway wheels,
- execution of injection holes in side parts of wheel hubs.
It is also offered a double-head version of the machine tool KCM 150 N for machining of railway wheels. It can be applied especially when high technological capacity is required, for example, for complete machining of railway wheels - particularly in a technological line.
